Telehealth

All appointments are conducted virtually on a HIPAA-compliant, secure platform. Telehealth provides convenient access to mental health services and are available for clients receiving treatment in New Jersey, New York, and Virginia. Clients must be physically located in one of the above states at the time of visits.

Service

Psychiatric Evaluations

Psychiatric evaluations for adults are conducted in 60 minutes, while psychiatric evaluations for adolescents between 11 and 17 years of age are completed in 90 minutes. During a psychiatric evaluation, a comprehensive history is gathered, which includes previous psychiatric history, family history of mental illness, interpersonal relationship history, education and work history, substance use or abuse, physical health, and patterns of behavior.

Medication Management

Follow-up visits for medication management are within the span of 18 minutes. Less time may be needed for patients who are stable. Frequency of medication management visits vary depending on the stability of the client’s mental health. For new clients, medication management sessions may be recommended weekly, biweekly. For established patients, medication management sessions are usually conducted monthly. In some cases, patientsmay be seen once every three months.

Psychotherapy

For patients interested in psychotherapy, Kelly draws on psychodynamic, childhood regression, narrative psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) modalities to help clients analyze the chain of events in their lives, troubleshoot unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, and to construct a positive life story that is empowering.

Genetic Testing

Vital Psychiatry & Wellness clients have the option to utilize genetic testing to help expedite the process of finding a medication regimen that will suit their needs. Vital Psychiatry & Wellness works with a company to gather and interpret genetic data. Please contact us for pricing details.
